These past 4 years, I have been writing essays, journal entries, research reports, book reviews, and literature reviews. Like any other writings, academic writings also require tons of creativity. For instance, essays and journal entries give substantial space for me to craft my ideas to be presented in the form of argument, agreement, preposition, and simply the observation towards the object that I studied.
I would say it has been the best experience in my life to write academics papers. Because by doing that, I was trained to look closely into the subjects I was learning systematically. Besides, it gives me space to contribute my thinking as intellectual property that can benefit other learners. Academic writing has also shaped me to deliver arguments and prepositions appropriately without being defensive but rather being more open-minded and objective.
I was graduated recently with a Bachelor of Ministry majoring in Christian Theology. However, I got a job as a Marketing Coordinator. Therefore academic writing has been quite familiar to me but not business writing. This led me to the ultimate reason why I took this course. When I was doing my degree, I was receiving many feedbacks about the usage of punctuation. Even today, I'm still struggling to use the proper grammar at my workplace. The main reason is that I wasn't growing up with this language. So if I am asked what area I'd love to improve, I'd say I want my writing to have correct grammar and give taste to my audience. I want to be a better business writer that implementing creativity in whatever topics I bring in my writing.
You sound like you're already good at this :D
